Universalhero Kamal Haasan is the youngest of four children in his family. is a three-time winner of the National Film Award for Best Actor for the films Nayagan, Moondram Pirai and Indian and one as Best Child Artist .


Kamal Hassan Acted Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali Languages. He is also a playback singer and sometimes pens the lyrics for the soundtracks of some of his recent films.When time permits he writes poems and short stories in Tamil as well.

In the 1960s, Kamal Hassan made his screen debut with Kalathur Kannamma produced by AVM production at the age of six and it won him the first National Award for Best Child Artist.
