3 Is Extraordinary Movie.

Moonu, an extraordinary movie which has mind blowing story. A movie really can gives us a realization on Love, Friendship, Parents, Marrieage, Bipolar Disorder( an wake up call for this disease) and at one point Suicide is not the the solution of a problem.

Aiswarya Dhanush first movie but its doesn't seem like a first movie for me. Every scene in the movie is really worth it, the scene in the pub of tieing the thali would be a different but some would think its nonsense cause its culture. Background music in the movie are really mind blast and can feel the tune and get goosebumps, as same goes to the songs and scene are really superb. A love which is so true yet the pain of love is really a realization. True love still exist, the movie has shown through that, friendship is the another part of life that is important. Parents another main important role which come to a understanding between daughter or son with their parents. A movie that never fails to bring all the aspect in life which is important. Anirudh's music are really mind blowing, a young man who is success at the starting point of MOONU.

Dhanush's acting was really outstanding, the mixture of his previous movies character are all in this movie. Expression are really fanstastic. Shruthi Hassan, her expression really gave the impact for some girls who has watch the movie, and her plus point is her own voice and reaction is really realistic. Both of them bring out the best of themselves.

A must watch movie, 10/10.

Raththa Charithram(Tamil) - The Revenge That Never Stop

Well, I just back from the preview of Raththa Charithram which was acted by the most anticipating actor Surya and Vivek Oberoi. From the Hindi Version of Rakth Charithra, the Tamil version story is more about Surya. The Hindi version is 5 hours movie which was divided into 2 Parts of the movie. The 1st part would be the Rising Of Pratap Ravi (Vivek Oberoi) and the 2nd part is about the how Pratap Ravi being killed and the rise of Suri (Surya). In the Tamil, Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) has make the story more shorter rather than making it 2 parts. Where the plot begins of Ananthpur the village of bloodshed (Raththa Charithram) with the dirty politics surrounding the village, Pratap Ravi's father and brother were killed by Narashimma Reddy people. With that reason Pratap seek for revenge. And after he killed his enemies,Pratap join politics that was introduce to him by Shivraj the great filmstar. The beginning of the stories about 10 to 20 minutes is about Pratap with his power in politics ( you would realize that this part is being dubbed) after that the movie is all about Surya who wants to kill Pratap.

I was more interested in the Hindi version of the movie because RGV explains the whole story of Rakth Charithra ( A Blood History), and the movie was made in 2 parts because it was 5 hours story. In the Hindi version, the story was narrate by RGV and in the Tamil version it was narrate by Director Gautham Menon.

The Character in the movie :

Surya as Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy (Maddelacheruvu Suri), nemesis of Ravi
Vivek Oberoi as Pratap Ravi (Paritala Ravindra)
Priyamani as Bhawani (Gangula Bhanumati)
Kota Srinivasa Rao as Nagamani Reddy (Chenna Reddy)
Radhika Apte as Nandini (Sunitha)
Abhimanyu Singh as Bukka Reddy (Obul Reddy)
Shatrughan Sinha as Shivaji Rao (N. T. Rama Rao)
Sushant Singh as Pratap Shankar
Tanikella Bharani as Ram Moorthy (Nara ChandraBabu Naidu)
Ashish Vidyarthi as Manda (Sayanna)
Sudeep as Special Officer DCP
Kitty as Narasimha Reddy (Gangula Narayana Reddy)
Rajendra Gupta as Veera Bhadra

The movie is interesting and also if you all have watch the Hindi version you will understand the full story.

Overall Rating:::8.5/10:::

Rajni vs Rajni vs Rajni in Endhiran: The Robot

Like all larger than life Indian actors, Rajnikanth doesn't act with other actors at all. He pretty much acts all by himself in a movie. This - along with the fact that the legend has slowed down his movie projects with age - makes a Rajni movie an event.

In the deliriously entertaining, all crazyiness on deck film Endhiran: The Robot, director Shankar acknowledges this fact by making Rajni face off against two of his own selves. He throws in Aishwarya Rai for good measure but more on that later.

A word on the magic of Rajni. I used to be a big fan of the Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan before said filmmaker became a bit mired in his own lasciviousness. Egoyan used to often show his scenes out of time sequence in his movies. Thus when you saw a scene, you didn't know what was going on until you got to a later scene. Subsequently the brilliant American filmmaker Steven Soderbergh miniaturized this technique in one of my favorite movies - Limey - by showing parts of the same scene out of time sequence.

I saw Robot in Tamil (and I recommend everyone do the same) and the English subtitles would show up a good 30 seconds to a minute after the words were spoken. Thus often I couldn't tell what was going on in a scene until the scene that came after. Robot ended up achieving the same effect effortlessly that awesome filmmakers struggled all their lives to perfect.

Such is the brilliance of Rajni that everything - even unintentionally - becomes brilliant around him.

Rajni is introduced in this movie with individually punched out characters that spell "S-U-P-E-R-S-T-A-R-R-A-J-N-I" in the opening credits. This is a great time to get into the movie because its usually accompanied by some of the best hooting. Rajni I plays a geeky professor who has no qualms keeping his super hot girlfriend Aishwarya on hold while he hangs out with two dweebs and a waiter robot called R2. Rajni I wears a wig full of plumes and often unleashes the charming Rajni megawatt smile.

Rajni II is the robot Rajni I creates - a stoic, strait-laced machine that charms Rajni I's girlfriend Aishwarya. But, in a rather beaten storyline, Rajni II is unable to decipher human sabhyataa. To address this limitation Rajni I pumps Rajni II full of hormones. Inexplicably, lightning strikes
Rajni II. Rajni II falls in love with Aishwarya. He flunks Rajni I's effort to pimp him out to the military. Rajni I chops Rajni II up.

If you aren't still with me, you aren't a Rajni fan. You should leave now.

Later Rajni II is rescued by Danny Denzongpa and enhanced with a destructor chip. This gives rise to Rajni III - a smirking, badass robot with a runaway swish of white through his hair and lightning bolt sideburns. Rajnikanth clearly enjoys this third reincarnation the most, giving his character a delicious misguided sleaziness.

Rajni III then goes berserk and in homage to his superstar self, creates Rajni III through Rajni CX. These other Rajni's are clearly children of a lesser Rajni because they aren't as smart as Rajni III. But they have tremendous magnetic bodies that form all kinds of awesome shapes in tandem. They all then buckle down to the business of harassing the living daylights out of Aishwarya.

In the final half hour of the movie, director Shankar pulls out some nascent fascination for Godzilla flicks (not to mention a fondness for the Mummy franchise) and shapes his army of Rajni's into all kinds of funky shapes: a ball, a drill, snakes, a massive giant. This part of the movie made my jaw drop - with its sheer ambition and total dedication to taking nuttiness one step further.

Rajni does a great job dilineating his three characters. Operating with an outrageous wardrobe, Aishwarya looks wonderful and brings her trademark sincerity to the role, making everything around her appear even more crazy. In this regard, her casting works.

For all its swirling madcapness, Robot is rather cleverly structured. Much like the gold standard for simple storytelling - Baywatch, in which a simple story was an excuse to take you from one set of boobs to another - Robot takes you from one massive Rajni moment to the next. Its the ultimate assertion of storytelling by showcasing your star (a style which Bollywood milked so well in Dabangg).

The scenes themselves serve wide swaths of the audience demo. There are dhaasu fight scenes - the best of which is a fight scene in a moving train.

Then there are beheno maate moments. These are mapped out as sequences in which Rajni II goes about pleasing women. He pays attention to a woman when she's talking. He makes her problems his own. He cooks a feast for them. He cleans house. He delivers a baby and saves a mother's life. He does everything Rajni I doesn't.

Rajni II - in his newly minted "young adult" phase also spends some time showing smirking adults around him just how smart he really is.

Endhiran's greatest trick is that it has a version of Rajni to appeal to all of us: men, women, children, geeks and badasses.

Living Legend A.R Rahman

The man, who single-handedly revolutionized the standards of film music composition in India. His career is a turning point in the history of Indian film music. None other than, One and Only A.R Rahman (ALLAH RAKHA RAHMAN)

Born on January 6, 1966 as A. S. Dileep Kumar in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, is a composer, record producer and musician. is the second of four children born to R. K. Shekhar and Kareema Begum (Kasthuri). He has three sisters, Rehana (Kanchana), Fatima Talat (Bala) and Israth. He is married to Saira and has three children – Khatija, Rahima and Amin. Rahman is an alumni of the PSBB Lake Area School, Nungambakkam, Chennai.

His nephew G. V. Prakash Kumar is a composer in the Tamil film industry.Son of Rehana (Kanchana). is the second of four children born to R.

His father died when Rahman was nine years old, and his family rented out musical equipment as a source of income. Rahman converted to Islam after a personal family incident and was a student at PSBB for a short while before changing schools.

During these early years, Rahman served as a keyboard player and an arranger in bands such as “Roots” and “Nemesis Avenue” with friends including Sivamani, embracing numerous music genres. He played the keyboard and piano, in addition to, among others, the synthesizer, the harmonium and the guitar. His curiosity in the synthesizer in particular increased because, he says, it was the “ideal combination of music and technology.” began early training in music under Master Dhanraj. At the age of 11, he joined, as a keyboardist, the troupe of Ilaiyaraaja, of many composers to whom musical instruments belonging to Rahman’s father were rented to. Rahman later played in the orchestra of M. S. Viswanathan and Ramesh Naidu, accompanied Zakir Hussain, Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan and L. Shankar on world tours and obtained a scholarship to Trinity College of Music in London, where he graduated with a degree in Western classical music. Once in an interview with Vijay TV’s Coffee with Anu, Rahman described P. Susheela as his most favourite singer ever, whom he worked with in the Tamil film Pudhiya Mugam. Rahman trained in Indian classical music from a young age.

In a career spanning over a decade, Rahman, by 2003, had sold more than one hundred million records of his film scores and soundtracks world-wide, and sold over 200 million cassettes making him, along with fellow Asian Freddie Mercury, one of the world’s top 10 all-time top selling recording artists.

During these early years, Rahman served as a keyboardist and an arranger in bands such as “Roots” with friends, embracing numerous music genres. He played the keyboard and piano, in addition to, among others, the synthesizer, the harmonium and the guitar. His curiosity in the synthesizer in particular increased because, he says, it was the “ideal combination of music and technology.” He began training in Carnatic music. At the age of 11, he joined, as a keyboardist, the troupe of Indian composer Ilaiyaraaja, one of many composers to whom musical instruments belonging to Rahman’s father were rented to. Rahman later played in the orchestra of M. S. Viswanathan and Ramesh Naidu, accompanied Zakir Hussain and Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan on world tours and obtained scholarship to Trinity College at Oxford University, where he graduated with a degree in Western classical music.

In 1991, Rahman began his own music recording and mixing studio, attached to backyard of his house, called the Panchathan Record Inn. He initially composed music jingles for advertisements, Indian Television channels and music scores in documentaries, among other projects. In 1992, he was approached by film director Mani Ratnam to compose the score and soundtrack for Ratnam’s Tamil film Roja. The debut led Rahman to receive the Rajat Kamal award for Best Music Director at the National Film Awards, the first time ever by a first-time film composer. Rahman has since then gone on to win the award three more times (for his scores for Minsaara Kanavu (Electric Dreams, Tamil) in 1997, Lagaan (Tax, Hindi) in 2002, Kannathil Muthamittal (If Kissed on the Cheek, Tamil) in 2003), the most ever by any composer.

Rahman’s work is also unique in the fact that his collaborations with some film directors have always resulted in successful soundtracks. In particular, he has worked with Mani Ratnam on ten films until 2006, all of which have been musical hits. Also notable is his collaboration with the director S. Shankar in the films Gentleman, Kadhalan, Indian, Jeans, Mudhalvan, Nayak, Boys and Sivaji.

His first movie album Roja was listed in TIME’s “Top 10 Movie Soundtracks of All Time” in 2005. Rahman continued to record frequently in his studio, the Panchathan Record Inn. In 2005, a newly developed recording studio, attached to the Inn called A.M. Studios was opened. It is considered to be the most developed, equipped and high tech studio of Asia. In 2006, Rahman launched his own music label, KM Musiq. It’s first release was his soundtrack to the film Sillunu Oru Kaadhal which it released worldwide, in August 2006. His latest work includes Saathiya,Rang De Basanti, Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, Guru, Varalaru – The History of the Godfather, Sivaji: The Boss, Azhagiya Tamil Magan,Jodhaa Akbar,Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and ADA: A Way of Life . Rahman has scored the movie Provoked, co-scored Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and is working on Chamki Chameli to be released in 2008 and Hindi version of Tamil blockbuster Ghajini. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri.

Other works

Rahman has been involved in several projects aside from film. He made an album Vande Mataram (1997) on India’s 50th anniversary of independence to immense success. He followed it up with an album called Jana gana mana, a conglomeration of performances by many leading exponents/artists of Indian classical music. In addition to writing jingles for ads, he has composed several orchestrations for athletic events and T.V. and internet media publications, documentaries and short films.

In 1999, Rahman, along with choreographers Shobhana and Prabhu Deva Sundaram and a dancing troupe from the Tamil film industry performed with Michael Jackson in Munich, Germany, for his “Michael Jackson and Friends Concert.” In 2002, he composed his maiden stage production Bombay Dreams (2002) following a commission from famous musical theatre composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Furthermore, Rahman, along with the Finnish folk music band Värttinä, composed the music for The Lord of the Rings theatre production. He composed the piece “Raga’s Dance” for Vanessa-Mae’s album Choreography (2004).

In the last six years, he has performed in three successful world tours of his concerts to audiences in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Dubai, UK, Canada, the US (Hollywood Bowl and 3d tour) and India. A two-disc soundtrack, Introducing A. R. Rahman, (2006) featuring 25 pieces he composed from his Tamil film scores was released in May 2006.

Music style

Rahman’s interest in the works of Classical and Romantic period composers, Carnatic composers, early film composers and predecessors K. V. Mahadevan and Vishwanathan-Ramamoorthy of the film industry of Tamil Nadu and others continued through his late teens. He further explored and trained in Carnatic music, Western classical, Hindustani music and the Qawwali style of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, in addition to numerous other styles. His interest and outlook in music is said to stem from his love of experimentation. As a result, his scores have alternated from songs and themes composed covering a variety of genres, with unconventionally-grouped instruments, and different vocal styles being used and combined together in some of his film soundtracks, to more traditional orchestral themes with leitmotif techniques composed in others. Rahman’s works often feature a mix of minimalist songs and evocative, thematic pieces, building on his differing chord progressions and rhythms. He has written scores and songs with new and varied melodic and percussive sounds from instruments of different music systems.

In addition to composing themes for charity media features and events, Rahman has set up the “A.R.Rahman Foundation” with a goal to eradicate poverty globally. This includes setting up and partnering with educational institutions across India to provide education to children who do not have easy access to schools or funds. In 2004, he was appointed as the Global Ambassador of the Stop TB Partnership, a project by WHO. He has shown support to charities including Save the Children, India, and worked with Cat Stevens / Yusuf Islam for his song “Indian Ocean” . The song featured a-ha keyboard player Magne Furuholmen and Travis drummer, Neil Primrose. The proceeds of the song went towards helping orphans in Banda Aceh, one of the areas worst affected by the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.
